Founded in 1901, Hanna is one of the oldest and most respected names in the North American fluid power industry. On the basis of its reputation for high quality, reliability, and its ability to customize, Hanna has established a niche in the production of specialized cylinders which offer precise fluid power control.

Hanna’s engineers are constantly developing and refining existing designs with the aim of achieving an improvedand diversified product line in keeping with the company’s long tradition of innovative designs, strong customer relationships, consistent high quality and cost effectiveness.

Precision products

Hanna manufactures and markets a line of high precision hydraulic & pneumatic cylinders, actuators, and accumulators at its facility in Chicago, Illinois and at its T. J. Brooks division in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Hanna’s specialty is custom cylinders, small quantities packaged by its distributors with valves, pumps, and controls as complete fluid power systems. These products are used in a wide variety of industrial and mobile machinery and equipment requiring the application of force in a controlled and repetitive process.

Extensive product line

Hanna and its Brooks division serve a wide variety of industrial and mobile markets ranging from heavy equipment manufacturers primarily in metal cutting, metal forming, and plastic machinery equipment. With approximately twenty product lines, Hanna appeals to specialized markets with both low and high volume needs. Their products are also used in the higher-volume products used by mobile equipment manufacturers. Hanna’s markets are delineated between original equipment manufacturers (80% of sales) and users of aftermarket or replacement cylinders (20% of sales).

International scope

Hanna approaches its industrial markets primarily through a North American network of independent distributors that specialize in fluid power products and service both original equipment manufacturers and aftermarket customers. Mobile products are sold directly to original equipment manufacturers.
