CP Industries (CPI) is the worlds leading producer of large diameter seamless steel pressure vessels used in the transportation and storage of many compressed gasses. With over 100 years of manufacturing experience, CPI is responsible for pioneering much of the large pressure vessel technology used throughout the world today.

Global scope

CPI has fully staffed sales offices in the US and in Beijing, China as well as sales agents in Canada, Taiwan, Korea and the Pacific rim. CPI has partnered with a Malaysian joint venture to provide after-market retesting of our products. The results of this aggressive marketing expansion is that international sales now accounts for 40% of CPI's sales.

Extensive product line

Vessels can be fabricated with ODs through 24 inches, nominal wall thicknesses through 2 inches, lengths up to 40 feet. They are manufactured in accordance with ASME, DOT and other international codes where applicable. They can be obtained as single tubes, manifolded in assemblies for ground storage or they can be mounted on trailer chassis or ISO containers for over the road and intercontinental shipment of products.

New applications for industrial and specialty gases require higher pressures exceeding 10,000 psi, lighter materials, and ultra-high-purity gas storage. Extending its market, CP Industries introduced a bulk gas storage system that is rapidly becoming an industry standard in the growing worldwide semiconductor and electronics markets.

CPI is maintaining its manufacturing leadership with the development of a new "spinning machine" that forms the ends of the cylinder by spinning. This new state-of-the-art facility can produce pressure vessels with larger diameters, thinner walls, and non-traditional head shapes when required.

Wide industry coverage

CPI's customers include industrial gas producers and suppliers, the alternate fuel vehicle (AFV) industry, chemical and petrochemical processing facilities, US Navy shipbuilders and NASA. Our vessels are used by industries such as aerospace, industrial controls, nuclear propulsion systems and oil and gas exploration and production.
